Mala Making Workshop

April 8, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm MDT

Start your Spring with a Beautiful Ritual….making your own Hand-Knotted Mala or Prayer Beads

This ritual will be a BEAUTIFUL way to welcome Spring.

During this workshop we will do a burning ceremony to let go of stuff that no longer serves us….old energy, habits, intentions, etc. Then we will invite in new, fresh and productive energy for Spring as we go through the ancient tradition of creating our very own hand-knotted Mala.

Malas, also known as Prayer beads, date back thousands of years. They have been used by numerous cultures and religions around the world to count mantras, prayers, intentions, etc. They also give us a “visual” reminder of what it is that we are working towards. The Malas also carry the energy of the gemstones as well as the energy of the wearer. They can be very beautiful and powerful tools to help keep us on track.

Traditional Indian Masala Chai and tea will be available to sip on as we go through the process.

All materials (gemstones, thread, etc) will be provided for this workshop.

Space is limited.

Elizabeth Whitt will be leading this workshop. She has been creating and selling Malas and leading worksops as Yogi Dreamer for 7 years. Having traveled to India 4 times and picking the brains of Indian Mala makers she has realized her passion to share Malas with the world.
