It is where your promotion will land, so start by opening it and having a look around.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open <em>https:\/\/mymahotsav.com\/activity-feed\/<\/em> while signed in.<\/li>\n<li>Check that you can see your own name and picture at the top right &mdash; that confirms you are signed in and posting as yourself.<\/li>\n<li>Take a moment to look at the post box at the top of the feed. Every public item in the feed &mdash; a campaign someone has launched, a story, your own earlier promotion &mdash; carries a <strong>Share<\/strong> action underneath it, and that is the quickest way to give it a second life in the stream.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Find the item you want to promote in the feed.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Share<\/strong> underneath it.<\/li>\n<li>Choose one of the five options in the dropdown that opens:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Share to Activity Feed<\/strong> &mdash; puts it back into the community stream under your name. This is the one that promotes it to everybody.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Share to Group<\/strong> &mdash; sends it to a community you belong to, where people already care about the subject.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Share to Friend&rsquo;s Profile<\/strong> &mdash; posts it on one person&rsquo;s profile.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Share to Message<\/strong> &mdash; sends it privately, as a direct message.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Share as Link<\/strong> &mdash; opens a <strong>Share link<\/strong> box with the item&rsquo;s address ready to copy, plus buttons to send it out to Messenger, WhatsApp, Facebook, X or LinkedIn. Put what you want &mdash; a donation, a read, a signature &mdash; in the first line, not the last.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Post at milestones, not every day.<\/strong> Launch, halfway, the final push and the thank-you are four genuine reasons to post. The Activity Feed is only shown to signed-in members. <strong>Fix:<\/strong> Sign in, then open <em>https:\/\/mymahotsav.com\/activity-feed\/<\/em> again. If you were signed in a moment ago, refresh the page once &mdash; sessions do time out. <strong>Escalate if:<\/strong> You sign in successfully but the feed still shows the sign-in box after a refresh; contact support with the time you tried and the browser you used.<\/p>\n<h3>Nothing happens when you click Post<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cause:<\/strong> No topic has been chosen. The topic is required, so until you pick one the <strong>Post<\/strong> button will not send your promotion &mdash; and the click can feel like it simply did nothing. <strong>Fix:<\/strong> Open <strong>Select Topic<\/strong> in the post box, choose the topic that fits your campaign &mdash; <strong>Friends<\/strong>, <strong>Groups<\/strong>, <strong>Temples<\/strong>, <strong>Politics<\/strong>, <strong>Festivals<\/strong> or <strong>More<\/strong> &mdash; then click <strong>Post<\/strong> again. Your text is safe in the box while you do this. <strong>Escalate if:<\/strong> A topic is clearly selected and <strong>Post<\/strong> still does nothing after you reload the page and try once more.<\/p>\n<h3>You clicked Post but cannot find your promotion in the feed<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cause:<\/strong> Almost always the feed is filtered or sorted so that your new item is not in view &mdash; not that the post failed. <strong>Fix:<\/strong> Set the filter button to <strong>All<\/strong>, set the dropdowns above the stream to <strong>Show all updates<\/strong> and <strong>by new posts<\/strong>, then refresh the page.
