Posting an opportunity is free by default, with optional paid upgrades offered on the very first step of the posting form.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What Utsav Volunteers is<\/h2>\n<p>Think of Utsav Volunteers as the community noticeboard of MyMahotsav, with a filing cabinet attached. Temples, trusts, event teams, businesses and individual organisers put up what they need doing &mdash; langar seva, festival stewarding, a photographer for a mandir event, an accountant for a trust &mdash; and members answer. Because it all runs on your ordinary MyMahotsav account, the person who volunteers on Sunday can post an opportunity of their own on Monday without setting anything up.<\/p>\n<p>The two halves in the article title are simply the two ends of that one flow. The job board handles <strong>finding and being found<\/strong>. Volunteer management handles <strong>everyone who put their hand up<\/strong>. Nothing needs to be switched on to move from one to the other.<\/p>\n<h2>The job board in one minute<\/h2>\n<p>The job board is the public, browsable half. An organiser fills in the posting form &mdash; title, location, type, category and tags, a description, a closing date, where applications should go, and their organisation&rsquo;s own details and logo &mdash; previews it, and submits it. Listings are checked before they appear, so a brand-new one may sit at <strong>Pending approval<\/strong> for a while rather than going live instantly. Over its life a listing moves through plain-English states: Draft, Pending approval, Pending payment, Active, Filled and Expired.<\/p>\n<p>From the member&rsquo;s side, the board is something you search. You can bookmark anything that looks interesting and come back to it later, and you can apply directly from the listing. Everything you need for one opportunity lives with that opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/mymahotsav.com\/utsav-volunteers\/hiring-dashboard\/\">Hiring Dashboard<\/a> is the organiser&rsquo;s home page. It lists everything you have posted, with how many views and how many applications each one has, and a search box above the table for finding a listing by title once you have a lot of them. Each row carries its own actions &mdash; edit it, duplicate it as the basis for the next one, delete it, relist it when the season comes round again, finish a submission you left half done, or mark it as no longer filled.<\/p>\n<p>The important link is the application count on each row. Your session has ended, or you followed a link in a different browser or on another device.<br \/><strong>Fix:<\/strong> Sign in from the header, then open the page again from the profile dropdown. If you were sent a direct link, sign in first and follow the link second.<br \/><strong>Escalate if:<\/strong> You sign in successfully and are still shown the sign-in box on that page &mdash; contact support with the page address you were trying to open.<\/p>\n<h3>Your new listing is not on the board<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cause:<\/strong> Listings are checked before they go live, so a new one is usually sitting at Pending approval. It may also be at Pending payment if a paid package was selected and checkout was not completed, or still a Draft if the form was left before it was submitted.<br \/><strong>Fix:<\/strong> Open the <a href=\"https:\/\/mymahotsav.com\/utsav-volunteers\/hiring-dashboard\/\">Hiring Dashboard<\/a> and read the state on the row. A half-finished post can be picked up again from its own row; a Pending payment one needs the checkout finishing.<br \/><strong>Escalate if:<\/strong> The listing has been Pending approval for more than a couple of days, or it shows as Active but you cannot find it on the board.<\/p>\n<h3>The applicant list looks empty even though the listing has applications<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cause:<\/strong> The status filter above the list is still set to a status nobody has been given yet. Filtering to Hired on a listing where everyone is still at New returns nothing at all, which reads like a fault but is not one.<br \/><strong>Fix:<\/strong> Set the filter back so it is not restricted to a single status, and check the application count on the Hiring Dashboard row to confirm how many people you should be seeing.<br \/><strong>Escalate if:<\/strong> The row shows a number of applications but the unfiltered list is genuinely empty.<\/p>\n<h3>You applied, and the status never changes<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cause:<\/strong> Nothing about a status is automatic. Each one is set by hand by the organiser as they work through their applicants, and wording that seems to have stalled usually just means they have not got to it yet.<br \/><strong>Fix:<\/strong> Give it a reasonable time, then contact the organiser using the contact details on the listing itself.
