A feed does the opposite job: it brings new roles to you. Feeds are created from the <strong>Open Roles<\/strong> search page, and the feed always matches whatever you were searching for at the time.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to <strong>Open Roles<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Set up the search you actually want: type a word in <strong>Keywords<\/strong>, add a <strong>Location<\/strong>, tick <strong>Remote positions only<\/strong> if that matters, and untick any job types you are not interested in (<strong>Freelance<\/strong>, <strong>Full Time<\/strong>, <strong>Internship<\/strong>, <strong>Part Time<\/strong>, <strong>Temporary<\/strong> all start ticked).<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Search Jobs<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Look at the narrow bar above the first result, at its right-hand end. There are two small icons: a bell on the left and the RSS icon &mdash; the dot with two curved lines &mdash; on the right.<\/li>\n<li>Select the <strong>RSS<\/strong> icon. It opens the feed address for that exact search. If the bar looks empty, select <strong>Search Jobs<\/strong> first, or widen your filters until something comes back.<\/div>\n<h2>Step 5 &mdash; Subscribe to a feed for one job category<\/h2>\n<p>If you would rather follow a whole category &mdash; every kitchen seva role, say &mdash; build the feed the same way, using the category list instead of a keyword.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>On <strong>Open Roles<\/strong>, open the category list beside the <strong>Remote positions only<\/strong> tick box &mdash; the one that begins <strong>Choose a&hellip;<\/strong> &mdash; and pick your category.<\/li>\n<li>Leave <strong>Keywords<\/strong> and <strong>Location<\/strong> empty so the feed is not narrowed further.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Search Jobs<\/strong>, then select the <strong>RSS<\/strong> icon in the results bar, exactly as in Step 4.<\/li>\n<li>Save that address in your reader. Because the feed carries the category you chose, every new role filed under it will arrive without you searching again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You can repeat this as often as you like &mdash; one feed per category, one per saved search, or a single broad feed. Roles show a <strong>Closes<\/strong> date on the listing, and a closed role stays in your list even after it stops accepting applications.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bookmark to compare, then apply.<\/strong> Saving three or four similar roles and reading them side by side is quicker than deciding one page at a time.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Keep feeds narrow.<\/strong> A feed with no keyword and no category returns everything on the board, which quickly becomes noise. One category, or one keyword and a location, is far more useful.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Feeds are public addresses.<\/strong> A feed is built from search filters, not from your account, so anyone with the address sees the same public jobs. The feed captures the filters that were active at that moment &mdash; keywords, location, remote, category and job types &mdash; and it cannot be edited afterwards. If you get the filters wrong, simply run a better search and take a new feed address.<\/div>\n<h2>Troubleshooting<\/h2>\n<h3>The panel says &ldquo;Login to bookmark this Job&rdquo;<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cause:<\/strong> you are signed out, or your session expired while the page sat open. Bookmarks are saved against your account, so the control is not available to visitors. <strong>Fix:<\/strong> sign in from the account menu at the top right, return to the job page and refresh it &mdash; the wording changes to <strong>Bookmark This Job<\/strong>. <strong>Escalate if:<\/strong> you are definitely signed in (your name shows in the header) and the job page still offers only the login wording.<\/p>\n<h3>I selected Bookmark This Job but nothing was saved<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cause:<\/strong> selecting the link only opens the form. The role is saved when you select <strong>Add Bookmark<\/strong> underneath the <strong>Notes<\/strong> box, and it is easy to leave the page in between. <strong>Fix:<\/strong> reopen the job, select <strong>Bookmark This Job<\/strong>, then select <strong>Add Bookmark<\/strong> and check the Candidate Dashboard. <strong>Escalate if:<\/strong> you have selected <strong>Add Bookmark<\/strong> and <strong>My Bookmarks (Jobs and Resumes)<\/strong> still reads &ldquo;You currently have no bookmarks&rdquo;.<\/p>\n<h3>There is no RSS icon above the search results<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cause:<\/strong> the icons in that bar are drawn with the results, so they are absent before a search has run and when a search returns nothing. <strong>Fix:<\/strong> select <strong>Search Jobs<\/strong>, and if the board comes back empty, clear a filter &mdash; a stray tag, an unticked job type or a location &mdash; until at least one role is listed, then look again at the right-hand end of the bar. <strong>Escalate if:<\/strong> roles are listed and the bar still shows no icons in more than one browser.<\/p>\n<h3>My feed reader says the address is not a feed<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cause:<\/strong> the wrong address was copied &mdash; usually the ordinary Open Roles page address rather than the one the RSS icon opens. <strong>Fix:<\/strong> select the RSS icon itself, let the page open, then copy the address from your browser&rsquo;s address bar; it is longer than the search page address and carries your filters. <strong>Escalate if:<\/strong> that address still will not subscribe in two different readers.<\/p>\n<h2>FAQ<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Q: Do I need an account to bookmark a job?<\/strong><br \/>A: Yes. Bookmarks are saved to your MyMahotsav account, so you must be signed in.
