Selecting it opens the watch page, with the player at the top and the title, the channel and the counts underneath.<\/p>\n<p>The rating control is not at the top of this screen. It holds two things side by side: a <strong>User Score<\/strong> circle, which is the average of everyone&rsquo;s ratings so far, and a short heading that reads <strong>Rate This<\/strong> with a row of stars beneath it.<\/p>\n<p>The Reviews block sits directly above the <strong>Descriptions:<\/strong> heading, so that heading is a useful landmark. The stars fill as you move, so you can see the score before you commit to it.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the left half of a star for a half-point score, or the right half for the whole point. The row runs from half a star up to 10.<\/li>\n<li>Release the click. That is the whole action &mdash; there is no Save or Submit button on this control.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Your score is recorded immediately. If you are only browsing and do not mean to score anything, keep your pointer clear of the stars as you scroll past.<\/div>\n<h2>Step 4 &mdash; Find your ratings again on a channel page<\/h2>\n<p>Every rating you leave is remembered. Your own channel page carries a <strong>Rated<\/strong> tab, and that is where the videos and audios you have scored are listed &mdash; handy when you want to find something again, or check what you gave it. Select it to list the items that have been given a star rating.<\/p>\n<p>On a narrow window the strip can be cut off before the last tab. Each card shows the title and when the item was added and last updated. The User Score is an average, so an early click based on the thumbnail alone moves the number for everyone who reads it later.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Use the half stars.<\/strong> The row moves in half-point steps, so you are not stuck choosing between 8 and 9 &mdash; 8.5 is a click away.<\/li>\n<li><strong>You can come back and change it.<\/strong> Return to the item and click a different star to replace your score.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stars are not the same as reactions.<\/strong> The coloured reaction icons near the view count are a separate control, and so are comments. If you rate a bhajan or a talk, look under the player just as you would on a video.<\/div>\n<h2>Troubleshooting<\/h2>\n<h3>A sign-in box appears where the stars should be<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cause:<\/strong> you are signed out, or your session has expired while the page sat open.<br \/>\n<strong>Fix:<\/strong> sign in to MyMahotsav, then reload the watch page. The Reviews block will show the star row rather than the sign-in prompt.<br \/>\n<strong>Escalate if:<\/strong> you are definitely signed in elsewhere on MyMahotsav and Viduraa still shows a sign-in box after a reload.<\/p>\n<h3>You cannot find the Reviews block on the page<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cause:<\/strong> you have scrolled past it. The block is short and sits between the item details and the <strong>Descriptions:<\/strong> heading, so it is easy to shoot by.<br \/>\n<strong>Fix:<\/strong> scroll back up until you see <strong>Descriptions:<\/strong>, then look immediately above it for the <strong>User Score<\/strong> circle and the <strong>Rate This<\/strong> row.<br \/>\n<strong>Escalate if:<\/strong> the <strong>Descriptions:<\/strong> heading is on the page but there is no Reviews block above it on that item.<\/p>\n<h3>You clicked a star but nothing seems to have happened<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cause:<\/strong> the click was recorded but the page did not refresh the wording, or the connection dropped at the moment you clicked.<br \/>\n<strong>Fix:<\/strong> reload the page and look at the heading. If it reads <strong>You have rated:<\/strong> with a score, your rating went through. If it still says <strong>Rate This<\/strong>, click the star again.<br \/>\n<strong>Escalate if:<\/strong> the heading keeps returning to <strong>Rate This<\/strong> after several attempts on a good connection.<\/p>\n<h3>You scored the wrong item, or the wrong number of stars<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cause:<\/strong> the click is the rating, so there is no confirmation step to catch a slip.<br \/>\n<strong>Fix:<\/strong> go back to that item and click the star you actually meant.
