Reading reviews is open to everyone &mdash; you do not need an account, and you do not need a booking.<\/div>\n<h2>Quick answer<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Open the venue&rsquo;s listing page and scroll down to its reviews panel. There you will find the venue&rsquo;s overall star rating, a score breakdown across six criteria &mdash; Accuracy, Communication, Cleanliness, Location, Check-In and Value &mdash; and every published guest review with the date it was posted and its score out of 5. This guide is about reading reviews as a guest.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Not every venue has reviews.<\/strong> A venue that has never been reviewed shows no stars and no reviews panel at all &mdash; the section is hidden rather than shown empty.<\/li>\n<li>If a sign-in box appears where you expected a page, you have landed on a dashboard screen rather than a listing. Sign in, or go back to the venue&rsquo;s listing page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Step 1 &mdash; Open the venue&rsquo;s listing page<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to Utsav Venues and search for venues, or browse the venues shown on the home page.<\/li>\n<li>Click the venue you are considering. Its own listing page opens.<\/li>\n<li>Look just above the venue&rsquo;s name. Keep going past the description, the price and facilities, the house rules and the availability calendar &mdash; the reviews panel sits near the foot of the page, shortly before the map.<\/p>\n<p>You will know it by its heading, which is simply the number of reviews the venue has: <strong>1 Review<\/strong>, <strong>4 Reviews<\/strong>, and so on. Everything described here is what the panel shows on the live site &mdash; the frames it did capture are shown in their own section further down.<\/div>\n<h2>Step 3 &mdash; Read the overall rating and the six-criteria breakdown<\/h2>\n<p>At the top of the panel the overall star rating appears again, this time with a breakdown showing how guests scored the venue on each of six fixed criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Accuracy<\/strong> &mdash; did the venue match what the listing promised?<\/li>\n<li><strong>Communication<\/strong> &mdash; how well did the owner answer and keep guests informed?<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cleanliness<\/strong> &mdash; the state of the space on arrival.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Location<\/strong> &mdash; the setting, and how easy it was to reach.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Check-In<\/strong> &mdash; how smooth arrival and handover were.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Value<\/strong> &mdash; what guests felt they got for the price.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The six are always the same, in that order, on every venue &mdash; which makes them the fairest way to line one venue up against another. Read the criteria that matter most for your own event rather than the overall figure alone: a venue that scores well on Location but less well on Communication tells you something quite specific about what to expect.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 4 &mdash; Read the individual reviews<\/h2>\n<p>Below the breakdown, each guest&rsquo;s review appears as its own card. A card carries:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the reviewer and the line <strong>Posted on<\/strong> with the date &mdash; so you can see how recent the feedback is;<\/li>\n<li>that review&rsquo;s own score, shown as <strong>( N of 5 )<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>the comment the guest wrote.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If the venue&rsquo;s owner has answered a review, their answer appears with the review under the heading <strong>Owner Reply<\/strong>. An owner&rsquo;s reply is often as telling as the review itself &mdash; it shows you how the venue handles a problem when one comes up.<\/p>\n<p>Dates matter here. Because the panel cannot be sorted, reviews are not guaranteed to be newest-first, so check the <strong>Posted on<\/strong> date on each card before you read much into it.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 5 &mdash; Move between pages if a venue has many reviews<\/h2>\n<p>The reviews panel shows up to seven reviews on a page. If a venue has collected more than that, numbered page links with a back and forward chevron appear at the foot of the panel, and you step through them to read the rest.<\/p>\n<p>Those page links are the panel&rsquo;s only control, and they only appear when there is more than one page to show. On Utsav Venues today no venue has gathered enough reviews to need a second page, so in practice you will see every review a venue has without clicking anything.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 6 &mdash; Decide, then take the next step<\/h2>\n<p>Once you have read the feedback, carry on from the same listing page:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Use <strong>Add to Favorites<\/strong> to shortlist the venue while you look at others.<\/li>\n<li>Use <strong>Contact Owner<\/strong> to ask the owner about anything a review raised &mdash; that sends a message without committing you to anything.<\/li>\n<li>Use the <strong>Book Now<\/strong> panel when you are ready to send a booking request.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Another place reviews appear &mdash; the owner&rsquo;s profile page<\/h2>\n<p>Every listing links to the profile page of the owner who runs the venue, reached with <strong>See Owner Profile<\/strong>. That page has a <strong>Reviews<\/strong> heading of its own, underneath the owner&rsquo;s biography and their <strong>Contact Owner<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<p>It is worth knowing this screen exists so you do not mistake it for the reviews you are looking for. To get back to the reviews you want, return to the venue&rsquo;s listing page.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Can you filter or sort reviews?<\/h2>\n<p>No. This is the one thing readers expect to find and it does not exist on Utsav Venues.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>No rating filter.<\/strong> There is no control for &ldquo;5 stars only&rdquo; or &ldquo;3 stars and below&rdquo;.<\/li>\n<li><strong>No sort.<\/strong> You cannot reorder reviews by newest, oldest, highest or lowest.<\/li>\n<li><strong>No keyword search<\/strong> within a venue&rsquo;s reviews.<\/li>\n<li><strong>No &ldquo;most helpful&rdquo;<\/strong> ranking, and no way to vote on a review.<\/li>\n<li><strong>No rating option in search results either.<\/strong> Where venue search results can be reordered, the choices are price, when the listing was added and the number of bedrooms or bathrooms &mdash; there is no &ldquo;highest rated&rdquo; option, so you cannot line venues up by score.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In practice this matters less than it sounds. Review counts on Utsav Venues are small &mdash; a page holds seven, and no venue has filled a page yet &mdash; so reading everything a venue has takes a minute or two. The six-criteria breakdown does the work a filter would: it gives you a per-subject score without you having to hunt through comments.<\/p>\n<h2>Tips and best practices<\/h2>\n<div style=\"background:#eef8f0;border-left:4px solid #2e9e5b;border-radius:8px;padding:14px 18px;margin:22px 0;line-height:1.6;\">&#127919; <strong>Best practice<\/strong><br \/>Compare venues on the criteria that decide your event, not on the overall star figure. If you are booking from another city, <strong>Communication<\/strong> and <strong>Accuracy<\/strong> will tell you more than <strong>Value<\/strong>; if guests are arriving late or in waves, read <strong>Check-In<\/strong> closely. Then send the owner a message about anything a review left unclear &mdash; the answer, and how quickly it comes, is evidence too.<\/div>\n<p>A few other things that help:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Shortlist as you go.<\/strong> Because there is no comparison screen and no way to rank venues by rating, the practical method is to shortlist with <strong>Add to Favorites<\/strong>, then open each shortlisted venue in turn and read its reviews. Your shortlist is on your <strong>Favorites<\/strong> page.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Check the dates.<\/strong> A strong review from several years ago describes the venue as it was then. Recent feedback is worth more, and the <strong>Posted on<\/strong> date on each card is how you tell.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Read the owner&rsquo;s replies.<\/strong> Where a venue has an <strong>Owner Reply<\/strong>, it shows you how the owner responds when something goes wrong.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Treat a venue with no reviews carefully rather than negatively.<\/strong> A blank record often just means the venue is new to Utsav Venues. Because the six criteria are always the same and always in the same order, you can flick between tabs and compare like with like in seconds.<\/div>\n<h2>Troubleshooting<\/h2>\n<h3>The venue I am looking at has no reviews section at all<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cause:<\/strong> that venue has no published reviews yet. When a venue has none, the whole panel is hidden rather than shown empty, and the stars above the venue name are missing too. <strong>Fix:<\/strong> judge the venue on its other panels &mdash; photos, facilities, house rules and the availability calendar &mdash; and use <strong>Contact Owner<\/strong> to ask the questions a review would have answered. <strong>Escalate if:<\/strong> you know a review was left on that venue and it has still not appeared after several days.<\/p>\n<h3>I cannot find a way to show only the best or worst reviews<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cause:<\/strong> there is no filter, sort or search on reviews anywhere on Utsav Venues &mdash; the panel simply lists them. <strong>Fix:<\/strong> read the list in full (it is short), and use the six-criteria breakdown to get a per-subject picture without reading every comment. <strong>Escalate if:<\/strong> you can see a filter or sort control on a venue&rsquo;s reviews that this guide does not describe &mdash; tell support, because the page will need updating.<\/p>\n<h3>The star rating by the venue name does not match the reviews below<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cause:<\/strong> the stars beside the name are the venue&rsquo;s overall average across all its published reviews and all six criteria, while each card shows only that one guest&rsquo;s score out of 5. A single glowing review inside an otherwise mixed record will not lift the average much. <strong>Fix:<\/strong> read the breakdown rather than the headline stars &mdash; it is the figure that explains the gap. <strong>Escalate if:<\/strong> the overall rating still contradicts every review on the page after you refresh.<\/p>\n<h3>A review I wrote is not showing on the venue&rsquo;s page<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cause:<\/strong> reviews are checked before they are published, so there is a wait between submitting one and seeing it appear. Canonical facts: reading reviews is public and read-only, no account and no booking required; the panel heading is the review COUNT (&#8220;1 Review&#8221; \/ &#8220;4 Reviews&#8221;) and the whole panel plus the listing&#8217;s stars are hidden entirely when a venue has no reviews; the overall star rating appears twice, above the venue name and again at the top of the panel; the breakdown is six fixed criteria in this order &#8211; Accuracy, Communication, Cleanliness, Location, Check-In, Value; each review card shows the reviewer, &#8220;Posted on <date>&#8221; and that review&#8217;s score as &#8220;( N of 5 )&#8221;; an owner&#8217;s answer appears under the heading &#8220;Owner Reply&#8221;; FILTERING, SORTING AND KEYWORD SEARCH OF REVIEWS DO NOT EXIST &#8211; no star filter, no newest\/oldest sort, no most-helpful ranking, no voting; the panel&#8217;s only control is numbered pagination at 7 reviews per page with prev\/next chevrons, which is suppressed when there is a single page and therefore is not seen on Utsav Venues today; venue search results cannot be ordered or filtered by rating either (the reorder options are price, date added, bedrooms and bathrooms); reviews come only from guests whose booking was confirmed and whose dates have passed, one review per booking, no editing or deleting, and every review is checked before it is published; reviews are written from the guest&#8217;s My Reservations page, never from the listing page; the owner&#8217;s profile page carries a separate &#8220;Reviews&#8221; heading which is not the venue&#8217;s reviews and is currently empty; next steps from the listing page are Add to Favorites (shortlist), Contact Owner (message without booking) and Book Now (send a booking request); there is no side-by-side venue comparison screen.
