Taking Ownership of Your Listing<\/h3>\n

Many of our listings are submitted by community members. If you find a listing for your temple, business, or organization, you can “claim” it to become the official owner. This gives you control over the information and access to special features.<\/p>\n

The Simple Truth<\/h3>\n

    Claiming proves you’re the owner<\/strong>: You’ll need to provide evidence that you represent the entity.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Free for everyone<\/strong>: Claiming a basic listing is always free.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    You get control<\/strong>: Once claimed, you can edit information, respond to reviews, and add photos.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    We verify, but we’re not guarantors<\/strong>: Verification means we’ve confirmed your identity\u2014not that we endorse your services.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Disputes happen<\/strong>: If two people claim the same listing, we may need to investigate.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Part B: Legal Terms and Conditions<\/h2>\n

    1. What Is Claiming?<\/h3>\n

    1.1<\/strong>\u00a0Claiming is the process by which an individual or entity verifies their right to manage a Listing on Utsav Mandirs\u2122 or Utsav Listings\u2122.<\/p>\n

    1.2<\/strong>\u00a0Once claimed, a Listing becomes “Verified” and the Claimant becomes the “Listing Owner” with management privileges.<\/p>\n

    2. Eligibility to Claim<\/h3>\n

    2.1<\/strong>\u00a0You may claim a Listing if you are:<\/p>\n

    • \n

      The owner, operator, or authorized representative of the entity<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      A temple trustee or manager (for Utsav Mandirs\u2122)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      A priest or purohit listed (for individual priest listings)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      A business owner with authority to represent the company<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      An NGO director or authorized representative<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      2.2<\/strong>\u00a0You may NOT claim a Listing if:<\/p>\n

        You have no connection to the entity<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        You are attempting to impersonate the entity<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Your claim would violate any law<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        3. Claim Process<\/h3>\n

        Step 1: Initiate Claim<\/strong><\/p>\n

          Click “Claim This Listing”<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                        We may hold the Listing in unverified status<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                        All claimants will be notified<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                        We may request additional documentation from each<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                      • \n

                        We do not adjudicate ownership disputes<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                        6.2<\/strong>\u00a0Resolution options:<\/p>\n

                        • \n

                          Claimants may resolve among themselves and notify us<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                        • \n

                          We may require court order or legal documentation<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                          In some cases, we may remove the Listing entirely<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                          6.3<\/strong>\u00a0Fraudulent Claims<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

                            Knowingly filing a false claim is prohibited<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                          • \n

                            Results in immediate account termination<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                          • \n

                            May be reported to law enforcement<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                            7. Verified Badge and Benefits<\/h3>\n

                            7.1<\/strong>\u00a0Verified Listings receive:<\/p>\n

                              “Verified” badge on Listing page<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                            • \n

                              Higher visibility in search results<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                            • \n

                              Ability to edit all Listing information<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                              Access to Owner Dashboard<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                            • \n

                              Ability to respond to reviews<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                            • \n

                              Enhanced media upload limits<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                            • \n

                              Priority support<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                              7.2<\/strong>\u00a0Verification does NOT mean:<\/p>\n

                                Endorsement by MyMahotsav<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                              • \n

                                Guarantee of service quality<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                              • \n

                                Confirmation of legal compliance<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                                8. Ongoing Verification<\/h3>\n

                                8.1<\/strong>\u00a0We may periodically re-verify Verified Listings.<\/p>\n

                                8.2<\/strong>\u00a0Owners must:<\/p>\n

                                  Maintain accurate contact information<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                                • \n

                                  Respond to verification requests within 30 days<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                                • \n

                                  Update us on material changes<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                                  8.3<\/strong>\u00a0Failure to respond may result in removal of Verified status.<\/p>\n

                                  9. Revocation of Verified Status<\/h3>\n

                                  9.1<\/strong>\u00a0Verified status may be revoked if:<\/p>\n

                                    Owner violates these Terms<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                                  • \n

                                    Owner provides false information<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                                    Owner ceases to represent the entity<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                                    Entity ceases to exist<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                                  • \n

                                    Upon request by verified owner (transfer of ownership)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                                    10. Transfer of Ownership<\/h3>\n

                                    10.1<\/strong>\u00a0If a business or temple changes ownership:<\/p>\n

                                      New owner may claim the Listing<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                                    • \n

                                      Must provide documentation of transfer<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                                      Previous owner’s access will be removed<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                                      10.2<\/strong>\u00a0Disputes about legitimate succession are not adjudicated by us.<\/p>\n

                                      \n

                                      Part C: Jurisdiction-Specific Addendums<\/h2>\n

                                      India Addendum<\/h3>\n

                                      Aadhaar Verification<\/strong>: May be used for identity verification subject to compliance with Aadhaar Act and UIDAI regulations.<\/p>\n

                                      UK\/EU Addendum<\/h3>\n

                                      GDPR<\/strong>: Claimants have rights to access and correction of their verification data.<\/p>\n

                                      US Addendum<\/h3>\n
