These terms supplement the general Contest rules for photo contests. If you’re entering a photo contest, these additional rules apply.<\/p>\n

The Simple Truth<\/h3>\n

    High-Quality Images<\/strong>: Submit your best work\u2014proper resolution, good composition\u00a0.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Model Releases Needed<\/strong>: If people are recognizable in your photo, you need their permission\u00a0.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    No Excessive Editing<\/strong>: Some editing is fine, but don’t misrepresent the scene.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    You Own Your Photos<\/strong>: We get a license to use them for the contest, but you keep copyright\u00a0.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Categories May Apply<\/strong>: Some contests have categories like “Mobile Photography” or “Professional.”<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    1. PHOTOGRAPHY CATEGORIES<\/h3>\n

      Contemporary\/Modern Interpretation<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      1.2<\/strong>\u00a0Entrants must select the correct category for their submission. Entries in the wrong category may be disqualified or re-categorized at judges’ discretion.<\/p>\n

              3.3<\/strong>\u00a0Disclosure<\/strong>: Judges may request original, unedited files to verify authenticity.<\/p>\n

              4. MODEL AND PROPERTY RELEASES<\/h3>\n

              4.1<\/strong>\u00a0Model Releases<\/strong>: If your photo includes recognizable individuals, you must have written permission from each person (or their parent\/guardian if under 18) allowing the photo to be used as described in these Terms\u00a0.<\/p>\n

              4.2<\/strong>\u00a0Property Releases<\/strong>: If your photo includes private property (homes, businesses, artwork), you may need permission from the property owner.<\/p>\n

              4.3<\/strong>\u00a0Documentation<\/strong>: Keep signed releases. MyMahotsav may request copies. Failure to provide releases may result in disqualification.<\/p>\n

              5. LOCATION AND SUBJECT RESTRICTIONS<\/h3>\n

              5.1<\/strong>\u00a0Sensitive Locations<\/strong>: Photos taken in sensitive locations (temples, religious sites, private ceremonies) must be taken with respect and, where appropriate, permission.<\/p>\n

              5.2<\/strong>\u00a0No Illegal Activity<\/strong>: Photos depicting illegal activities are prohibited.<\/p>\n

              5.3<\/strong>\u00a0Wildlife and Nature<\/strong>: Photos of wildlife must not show signs of animal distress or unethical practices.<\/p>\n

              6. METADATA AND CAPTIONS<\/h3>\n
