Protecting Everyone’s Interests<\/h3>\n

This policy explains how deposits work, what happens when events are cancelled, and how damage claims are handled. It’s designed to be fair to both hosts and renters.<\/p>\n

    Deposits Secure Your Booking<\/strong>: A deposit (often 25-50%) confirms your reservation and is generally non-refundable\u00a0.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Cancellation Fees Protect Hosts<\/strong>: If you cancel close to the event, hosts may not be able to rebook the date. Cancellation fees reflect that\u00a0.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Damage Claims Require Evidence<\/strong>: Hosts must provide proof of damage within 3 days. You have the right to respond before any charges are made\u00a0.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Security Holds<\/strong>: Some hosts may place a hold on your credit card for potential damages, released after the event if no issues arise.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Part B: Deposit Policy<\/h2>\n

    1. DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS<\/h3>\n

    1.1<\/strong>\u00a0Purpose<\/strong>: Deposits secure Bookings, demonstrate Renter commitment, and provide hosts with financial protection in case of cancellation\u00a0.<\/p>\n

    1.2<\/strong>\u00a0Deposit Amount<\/strong>: Unless otherwise specified in the listing, Hosts may require a deposit of [25-50%] of the total Booking amount. The exact amount will be displayed before booking\u00a0.<\/p>\n

    1.3<\/strong>\u00a0Payment<\/strong>: Deposits are collected at the time of Booking through the Platform.<\/p>\n

    1.4<\/strong>\u00a0Non-Refundable Nature<\/strong>: Deposits are non-refundable except as provided in this policy or in cases of Host-initiated cancellation\u00a0.<\/p>\n

    1.5<\/strong>\u00a0Balance Payment<\/strong>: The remaining balance is due as specified in the listing (typically [30] days before the event, or at check-in for last-minute bookings).<\/p>\n

    2. CANCELLATION POLICY TIERS<\/h3>\n

    2.2<\/strong>\u00a0Deposit Treatment<\/strong>: Where a deposit has been paid separately, it is non-refundable regardless of cancellation tier.<\/p>\n

    3. CANCELLATION PROCEDURES<\/h3>\n

    3.1<\/strong>\u00a0Renter-Initiated Cancellation<\/strong>: Renters may cancel through their account dashboard. Refunds, if any, will be processed automatically according to the applicable policy.<\/p>\n

    3.2<\/strong>\u00a0Host-Initiated Cancellation<\/strong>: If a Host cancels a confirmed Booking\u00a0:<\/p>\n

    • \n

      Renter receives a full refund of all amounts paid<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Host may be charged a cancellation fee of [10-25%] of the Booking value<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Host’s listing may be penalized in search rankings<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Multiple cancellations may result in account suspension<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      3.3<\/strong>\u00a0Notification<\/strong>: Both parties will be notified of any cancellation by email and platform notification.<\/p>\n

      4. FORCE MAJEURE CANCELLATIONS<\/h3>\n

      4.1<\/strong>\u00a0Definition<\/strong>: Force majeure events are circumstances beyond the reasonable control of either party, including\u00a0:<\/p>\n

        Natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, severe weather)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        War, terrorism, civil unrest<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        Government orders, regulations, or restrictions<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        Public health emergencies, pandemics, epidemics<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Fire, explosion, or other accidents<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        Strikes or industrial disputes<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        4.2<\/strong>\u00a0Effect of Force Majeure<\/strong>: If a Booking cannot proceed due to force majeure\u00a0:<\/p>\n

          The Host must notify the Renter and Platform immediately<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Both parties are released from their obligations<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Renters will receive a refund of all amounts paid, minus any non-recoverable costs (to be documented by Host)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Neither party is liable for additional damages (travel costs, etc.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          4.3<\/strong>\u00a0Documentation<\/strong>: Hosts claiming force majeure must provide reasonable documentation (government orders, official notices, etc.).<\/p>\n

          5. SECURITY DEPOSITS AND DAMAGE CLAIMS<\/h3>\n

          5.1<\/strong>\u00a0Security Deposits<\/strong>: Hosts may require a security deposit, which will be:<\/p>\n

            Clearly disclosed in the listing<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

            Collected through the Platform (where supported) or arranged separately<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

            5.2<\/strong>\u00a0Damage Claims Process<\/strong>\u00a0:<\/p>\n

            5.3<\/strong>\u00a0Evidence Requirements<\/strong>: Hosts must provide clear evidence of:<\/p>\n

              The damage existed<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

            • \n

              The damage was caused during the Renter’s event<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

            • \n

              The cost of repair or replacement (with receipts or estimates)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              5.4<\/strong>\u00a0Normal Wear and Tear<\/strong>: Hosts may not claim for normal wear and tear resulting from ordinary use of the Venue.<\/p>\n

              5.5<\/strong>\u00a0Excess Liability<\/strong>: If damage exceeds the security deposit amount, the Host may seek the balance directly from the Renter.<\/p>\n

              6. DISPUTE RESOLUTION<\/h3>\n

              6.1<\/strong>\u00a0Internal Process<\/strong>: Disputes regarding deposits, cancellations, or damage claims should first be raised through the Platform’s dispute resolution process.<\/p>\n

              6.2<\/strong>\u00a0Mediation<\/strong>: If internal resolution fails, parties may agree to mediation.<\/p>\n
