Several things feed into that decision at once:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Relevance<\/strong> &mdash; how closely a listing matches what you typed in <strong>Search for<\/strong> and the category you are browsing. A close match on both outranks a loose match on one.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Distance<\/strong> &mdash; how near the listing is to the place you searched. Filling in the <strong>Near<\/strong> box focuses the results on that location, so nearby listings surface ahead of far-away ones.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Completeness<\/strong> &mdash; how fully the listing has been filled in. A listing with a description, photos, categories, opening hours and contact details has more for the directory to match against than a bare one.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ratings<\/strong> &mdash; the overall star rating members have left.
