Juicy and Spicy Kosha Mangsho

Juicy mutton pieces cooked in curry of hot spices. Kosha Mangsho is a famous Bengali mutton curry popular for its rich taste and spiciness. Its a heaven for spicy food lovers.

 500 g mutton (cut into pieces)
 ¼ cup mustard oil
 4 cloves cloves
 4 sticks green cardamoms and some tiny pieces of cinnamon
 ½ cup grated onions
 1 cup ginger garlic paste
 5 g chilli powder to taste
 ½ tbsp roasted ground cumin seeds
 ½ tbsp turmeric
 500 g hung curd
 1 ½ tbsp salt

Heat oil and add cloves, cardamom and cinnamon. 15-20 minutes

Add onions and saute till soft.

Add ginger-garlic paste, chilli powder and turmeric and stir fry.

Add meat, stir fry over high heat till opaque.

Lower the heat and saute till fat separates. Uncover and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until heated throughly..

Add curd, cumin and salt and saute till fat separates again.

Serve hot.
