Add chopped onions and saut\u00e9 until golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until raw smell disappears. Add tomato puree and cook until oil separates. Add all powdered spices and mix well. Add cashews and cook for 3\u20134 minutes. Let mixture cool slightly and blend into smooth paste. Return paste to pan and add water to adjust consistency. Add paneer cubes and simmer for 5\u20137 minutes. Add cream, garam masala, and crushed kasuri methi. Cook for 2 minutes and turn off heat.
