Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated and responsible individuals to serve as Temple Trustees and oversee the administration, management, and governance of Shri Mahalakshmi Mandir. The Temple Trustees will work collaboratively with other trustees and temple leadership to uphold the values and principles of the temple and ensure its smooth functioning.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide leadership and strategic direction to the temple management committee.
2. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and religious requirements governing temple operations.
3. Oversee the financial management of the temple, including budgeting, accounting, and fundraising.
4. Manage temple assets, properties, and investments according to the temple’s mission and objectives.
5. Develop and implement policies and procedures to safeguard temple resources and maintain transparency.
6. Represent the temple in external engagements, community events, and interfaith initiatives.
7. Foster positive relationships with devotees, donors, volunteers, and stakeholders.
8. Collaborate with temple committees and subcommittees to address specific areas of responsibility, such as maintenance, events, and outreach.
9. Act as a liaison between the temple management committee and the temple community, communicating updates, decisions, and initiatives.
10. Uphold the values of dharma, seva, and devotion in all aspects of temple governance and leadership.

Qualifications:

• Strong commitment to the principles and values of Hindu dharma and temple traditions.
• Previous experience serving on a temple management committee or similar leadership role.
• Knowledge of temple administration, governance, and legal requirements.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and make informed decisions.
• Integrity, honesty, and dedication to serving the best interests of the temple and its community.
• Professional background in business, law, finance, or nonprofit management (preferred).
