Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Volunteer Coordinator to join our team and support our mission of serving the community. The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers to ensure the successful implementation of our programs and projects.
Responsibilities:- Recruit volunteers through various channels, including online platforms, community events, and outreach efforts.
- Conduct volunteer orientation sessions to provide information about the organization’s mission, goals, and volunteer opportunities.
- Match volunteers with suitable roles based on their skills, interests, and availability.
- Coordinate volunteer schedules and assignments for different programs and events.
- Provide ongoing support, guidance, and supervision to volunteers to ensure a positive and fulfilling experience.
- Organize training sessions and workshops to enhance volunteers’ skills and knowledge.
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer information, including contact details, hours worked, and contributions made.
- Recognize and appreciate volunteers for their dedication and contributions to the organization.
- Collaborate with other staff members and departments to integrate volunteers into program planning and implementation.
- Evaluate volunteer programs and initiatives to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, nonprofit management, or a related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in volunteer coordination or management role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and volunteer management software (e.g., VolunteerHub, Better Impact).
