GANESH CHATURTHI
Ganesh Chaturthi is a Hindu festival celebrated in honor of Lord Ganesha, the god of wisdom, prosperity, and good fortune. It is typically observed in the months of August or September, depending on the Hindu calendar. During this festival, devotees install clay idols of Lord Ganesha in their homes or public pandals and offer prayers and sweets. The festival spans over ten days, with the eleventh day being celebrated as Anant Chaturdashi, which marks the grand farewell of Lord Ganesha with immersion of the idol in water bodies. The festival is celebrated with much enthusiasm and joy across India, especially in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, with various cultural programs, street processions, and feasts.
