FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions

Seating is a new SaaS product that is an add-on for Event Tickets. With Seating, admins can create Seating Maps and Seat Layouts to reflect their venues and seat configurations. When creating tickets, they can then associate an event with a specific Seat Layout, and each ticket with a specific Seat Type. When buyers go to purchase tickets on the front-end, they choose from a dynamic map of the Seat Layout and purchase tickets according to their selected seats.
Nope, you only need to have Event Tickets active and a valid license for Seating. With a valid license, you can connect to the Seating Builder SaaS and that provides the seated ticket functionality.
You only need Event Tickets (free) to use the Seating add-on. It does not require Event Tickets Plus or The Events Calendar. However, when paired with Event Tickets Plus you are able to take advantage of advanced features such as attendee registration and QR code check-in for assigned seating tickets.

Seating requires the free Event Tickets plugin. To add Seating navigate in your WP Admin to Tickets > Settings > Licenses and enter your Seating license key. Then click the green button to connect your site to the Seating Builder service.

Currently, event tickets created for use with Seating can only be sold using Tickets Commerce–the native ecommerce solution for Event Tickets. We will integrate with WooCommerce in a future release.
Seating is designed for use with the Block Editor and does not support the Classic Editor.
