12 May 2023, 0600-0700: Monthly Yoga (AAPI Heritage Month) – Vinyasa Yoga

May 12, 2023 @ 6:00 am - 7:00 am CEST

Yoga session instructed by COL Catherine Black, USAREUR-AF G8. Hosted by 66th Military Intelligence BDE(T). Open to all of USAG Wiesbaden.

Hello! We are meeting in Exercise Room 1C, on the 2nd floor of the Wiesbaden Sports and Fitness Center on Clay Kaserne. Class begins promptly at 0600 and ends at 0700. A yoga mat, block, and bolster will be provided for your use. However, you may also bring your own props and towel, if you wish. Maximum of 30 spots are available.

The month of May is Asian-American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month. Though yoga is often thought to be a women’s sport, it’s very much a men’s sport too! All members of the community, esp. and including males, etc., are equally invited and encouraged to participate in all monthly yoga events. During the session, COL Black will incorporate some things to think about for AAPI Month.

By registering for or participating in this activity, you agree to the following waiver:

That I am participating in yoga classes or any other exercise programs offered by the host or instructor during which I will receive information and instruction about yoga, physical exercise or health. I recognize that exercise requires physical exertion, which may be strenuous and may cause physical injury, and I am fully aware of the risks and hazards involved.

I understand that it is my responsibility to consult a physician prior to and regarding my participation in the yoga classes, health programs or workshops offered by the instructor. I represent and warrant that I am physically fit and have no medical condition, which would prevent my full participation in these yoga classes, health programs or workshops.

If I am pregnant, I understand that I participate fully at my own risk and that of my unborn child/children.

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the yoga classes, health programs or workshops, I agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or programs offered by the instructor.

In further consideration of being permitted to participate in yoga classes, health programs or workshops, I knowingly, voluntarily and expressly waive any claim I may have against the event instructor, organizer, facility, U.S. Government, or affiliated organizations for injury or damages that I may sustain as a result of participating in these programs.

I understand that from time to time during yoga classes, the instructor may physically adjust students’ form and posture (subject to COVID-19 restrictions). If I do not want such physical adjustments, I will so inform the instructor at each class I attend. I also acknowledge that if I do wish to receive such adjustments, it is my responsibility to inform the instructor when an adjustment has gone as far as I desire at that time.

I hereby take full and sole responsibility from any liability of loss or damage to personal property associated with yoga classes or any other events.
