The SRH Berlin School of Design and Communication (BSDC) and the Institute for Art and Innovation (IFAI) are pleased to announce the first Symposium on Social Art and Social Design on May 10th, 2023, at the INNSiDE by Melia Hotel in Berlin.

The Symposium will feature three consecutive panel discussions addressing Social Art, Social Design and Resilience as well as how these fields are connected in Berlin. The Symposium aims to provide a platform for dialogue and exchange of ideas to develop innovative solutions to sustainability challenges.SRH Berlin School of Design and Communication (BSDC) is committed to fostering creativity, innovation, and sustainability in its programs and operations. This includes using eco-friendly materials and promoting ethical and socially responsible practices in design and communication. The MA Social Design and Sustainable Innovation program focuses on developing innovative solutions to social and environmental challenges.

The Institute for Art and Innovation (IFAI) is a Berlin-based think and do tank bridging artistic and innovative powers to ignite sustainable transformation. Specialised in the facilitation of purpose-driven interventions at the intersection of art, science and technology theirinterdisciplinary projects connect and empower people and organisations by providing intelligent, innovative strategies, enriching ideation and research, co-creating and aggregating knowledge, and fostering tangible results for positive systemic impact. In 2017, they established the Social Art Award to highlight the importance of socially engaged artists worldwide.

#Resilience ist das diesjährige Thema der Berlin Design Week und zugleich Leitmotiv der künstlerischen Arbeiten. Vorträge und Paneldiskussionen erörtern zusätzlich das Thema Social Design und wie wir eine bessere Zukunft gestalten können.
