Diwali, the festival of lights, is the most popular Indian festival and is celebrated by Jains and Sikhs as well as Hindus. The word Diwali comes from the Sanskrit word Deepavali, meaning rows of lighted lamps.
12 pm – Rangoli Making Competition. More details on how to enter for the competition will follow soon.
12 pm – 6:30pm: A family event with number of food stalls serving popular Indian snacks; stalls to pre order Authentic homemade Diwali Mithai; non-food stalls consist of traditional Indian dresses, Handicrafts, Henna, Spiritual stalls and display of a number of Indian small entrepreneurs. The cultural programs include LIVE Bollywood songs by our celebrity Ravi Kumar and dances.
3pm – 6:30pm: Ramleela, the traditional performance of the Ramayana, followed by a traditional and colourful Fashion Show . First show of Ramleela will start between 3pm and 4pm, and second show will start at 5:30pm sharp! The link to register for these performances is. If you wish to attend Ramleela and have booked your place, please be there at 12pm or latest by 12:30pm otherwise your place will be given to someone else.
