Master artist Trisha Gupta will provide an overview of the tradition, give insights into the tradition’s design elements, and will help you to print a set of cards in the Indian woodblock style. At the end of the workshop, you will walk away with a set of collage cards, ready to share with family and friends.
Trisha Gupta is an interdisciplinary artist. She learned the Indian woodblock printing tradition through her Rajastani heritage. She has conducted workshops on the tradition at the Elizabeth Blackburn Printmaking Foundation, Weave a Real Peace (WARP), the George Washington University Museum and The Textile Museum, and at the other venues throughout the Mid-Atlantic. In 2020, she was awarded a Folklife Apprenticeship from the Maryland State Arts Council.
