MEDION
Customer Rating on Amazon: 2.5
Stopped working after less than a month
I read the poor reviews and against my better judgement decided to go ahead anyway. The laptop was very noisy but that was something I was happy to live with it as it performed well for the price. However after less than a month’s use it simply stopped turning on. Am returning to Amazon for a full refund. I’ve decided to replace it with a similar spec laptop with better reviews and this time I’m happy to pay slightly more in the hope it won’t be such a disappointing experience.
Extremely good value!!!
Have you seen how much the RTX 3050 costs if you buy it as a desktop card??!!This laptop is powerful, and runs most games at great FPS.Red Dead 2 looks gorgeous, as does Cyberpunk.Sound card is great, but speakers are not. But who used laptop speakers anyway??!!Screen is good but if you’re (serious about) gaming you aint gonna use it are you?!Do yourself a favour, install a 1Tb SSD, extra RAM and plug in a 28″ 144htz screen, some decent speakers and a gaming keyboard and mouse and you have a top gaming rig for under £600!!! Seriously! Superb value.AFTER ONE YEAR….This laptop is still brilliant. Works perfectly. No issues at all.
You get what you pay for
Fan is super noisy when put under the slight pressure. I mean you cant even play a basic game like fortnite without it slowing down. The only reason I’m giving this laptop 3 stars it’s a cheap laptop in terms of cost and you get what you pay for.
Only lasted 7 weeks. Support awful.
My original review was positive, as the laptop seemed good value. However, just 7 weeks after delivery it died. After logging the fault by phone I took the dead laptop in to their office. They confirmed it as dead and kept it for repair. They said I’d get it back within 10 working days. 2 full weeks later I still have no laptop and no update on what is happening or when I will get it back.So I have to say – avoid Medion !Update: Amazon were much more helpful, and offered me a full refund if I got the dead laptop back. I told Medion this and asked for it back – and lo! next day they said they’d ship a replacement out to me! They didn’t though (of course), so I went to their office today and collected it myself. So I now have a laptop again, and promise to update this review in future if it stays working (or not!).
Didn’t work half the time.
It doesn’t work very well at all, I got this product as no box but pretty much mint condition on warehouse. The laptop doesn’t power on most of the time, and I have to slip it for it to turn on, and the fan rattles like it is catching on something!I requested a replacement in Amazon help cost, but all they can offer is a refund. Which I cannot accept as I have to send this back, and when I get it working I need to use it for my studies, and the fact that the refund would not cover a similar specification laptop.Absolutely poor customer service , I expect more as a prime member.
Wow
What a laptop took 5 minutes just to get it running, charger wasn’t even 1 meter long, came with the mat but not the mouse screen just barely bright enough and the rtx 3050 ti was actually a 3050 box was sort of damaged and it looked like it was open the keyboard was very messy some keys needed full force to work properly and the screen quality was dreadful not worth the money DO NOT BUYOnly good thing about it was it actually came in less the 48 hours that the only positive about it I seeing as I got this on prime it still says arriving today.
Great gaming laptop at a good price
Shopped around a lot for a gaming laptop and this one really stood out. The price I paid was £631 discounted, slightly cheaper now. Very good price if you can get it for around this. It is hard to get this spec at this priec point.Powerful processor and decent dedicated graphics chip. Under normal usage the fans are fine, not that loud at all and I am sensitive to fan noise. When 3D gaming such as Fortnite as expected the fans ramp up a lot so you would want to play with a headphones. This is normal for gaming laptops and to be expected. Gaming performance seems good and you can play Fortnite at 1080p at medium/high +60fps but I have not tested the graphics settings extensively. The screen is very impressive with a high refresh rate and impressively deep colours. It does not look washed out at all. They keyboard is great to type on and has colour changing backlighting. The keys have white edging and light up nicely with different colours. Looks smart, the font on the keys is quite gamer-styled so you might want to have a close look at this to see if it is to your taste. The styling of the laptop is great, looks really nice and the branding is subtle and styling black-on-black. First time I have bought a Medion and I’m impressed so far. Windows 11 was set up well and the only thing I would consider bloatware is McAfee which is easily installed. Most manufactuters include something like this so to be expected.A bonus is the free mouse pad and mouse. The pad is nice and large and has a cool design, and the mouse is high quality, very smooth, nice lighting and a DPI button on top to change the sensitivity.Later this year I will be looking to see if I can upgrade the memory from 8GB to 16GB. If this dual channel config is possible it will be a bit of a boost to performance. When I do this I will update this review.
Excellent..
Well I got this sub £600 on offer, look excellent, back-lit keys which you can control colour and brightness, performs well for entry level gamer easily running a smooth 60fps on most, screen is really good aswell definately bright enough, only bads speakers ar typical laptop but you would normally have headphones but there ok for most if tinny sounding, battery is a bit short about 2 to 2 1/2 hrs under heavy loads, must say the fans are loud but again gamers normally have headphones, normal use it’s quiet and extremely quick. I’m very happy with purchase esp for the cost. Overall for the price I got it I couldn’t have done better. I was dubious as the 2star rating was the only rating but I think that must have just been bad luck or when it was full price. If it goes back to the £590ish price point its a bit of a bargain to be fair.
