How Everyone Should Behave at Events #
Utsav Pass™ is committed to creating safe, respectful, and enjoyable experiences for everyone. This Code of Conduct applies to all attendees, organizers, staff, volunteers, and anyone participating in events listed on our platform.
The Golden Rule #
Treat others with respect. Always.
Whether you’re attending, organizing, or working at an event, you have the right to feel safe—and the responsibility to help others feel safe too.
What This Means #

No harassment: Bullying, intimidation, discrimination, or unwanted attention is never okay.

Follow the rules: Event organizers set rules for their events—follow them.

Respect the space: Don’t damage property, create hazards, or interfere with others’ enjoyment.

Look out for each other: If you see something concerning, report it.

Consequences apply: Violating this code can result in removal, banning, or legal action.
PART B: LEGAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS #
1. SCOPE AND APPLICATION #
1.1 This Code of Conduct applies to:

All ticket purchasers and attendees

All event organizers and their staff/volunteers

All venue operators and their staff
-
All performers, speakers, and participants
-
Anyone accessing Utsav Pass™-listed events
1.2 The Code applies:

At the event venue
-
In online/ virtual event spaces
-
On official event communication channels
-
On social media related to the event
1.3 By purchasing a ticket or attending an event, you agree to comply with this Code.
2. PROHIBITED CONDUCT #
2.1 Harassment and Discrimination #
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

| Discriminatory Conduct | Slurs, jokes, or comments based on race, color, religion, caste, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or age |
| Physical Harassment | Unwanted touching, blocking movement, physical assault, intimidation |
| Verbal Harassment | Threats, insults, offensive comments, shouting, stalking |
| Sexual Harassment | Unwanted sexual advances, comments, or attention; sharing sexual images without consent |
| Visual Harassment | Lewd gestures, staring, inappropriate photography/video |
2.2 Disruptive Behavior #
The following behaviors are prohibited:

Interfering with event proceedings

Refusing to follow organizer instructions

Entering restricted areas

Damaging property
-
Creating excessive noise
-
Blocking exits or thoroughfares

Inciting others to disrupt
2.3 Safety Violations #

Bringing prohibited items (weapons, illegal substances, etc.)

Smoking in non-smoking areas
-
Ignoring fire safety instructions
-
Overcrowding areas beyond capacity
-
Climbing structures or unsafe areas
2.4 Fraud and Misrepresentation #

Using fake tickets
-
Impersonating staff, organizers, or security

Providing false information to gain entry
-
Counterfeiting wristbands or credentials
3. ORGANIZER OBLIGATIONS #
3.1 Enforcing the Code #
Event organizers must:

Take reasonable steps to enforce this Code

Respond promptly to reported violations
-
Remove violators when appropriate
-
Document incidents
-
Cooperate with law enforcement
3.2 Providing a Safe Environment #
Organizers must:

Have visible staff/security to address issues
-
Provide clear instructions for reporting concerns
-
Ensure venue is safe and compliant
-
Brief staff on Code enforcement
3.3 Non-Retaliation #
Organizers must not retaliate against:

Anyone reporting a violation
-
Anyone cooperating with an investigation
-
Anyone requesting accommodations
4. REPORTING VIOLATIONS #
4.1 How to Report #
During the event:

Notify event staff, security, or organizers immediately
-
Go to a designated safe space (if available)
-
Call emergency services if in immediate danger (999/112/911)
After the event:
-
Contact the organizer directly
-
Contact Utsav Pass™ support
-
File a report with local authorities (if appropriate)
4.2 What to Include #
When reporting, please provide:

Date and time of incident

Location within venue
-
Description of what happened
-
Description of person(s) involved
-
Names/contact of witnesses
-
Any evidence (photos, videos, screenshots)
4.3 Confidentiality #
Reports will be handled with discretion. Information will be shared only with those who need to know (organizers, security, law enforcement).
5. CONSEQUENCES OF VIOLATIONS #
5.1 Immediate Consequences #
Depending on severity, violators may:

| Removal | Ejected from event without refund |
| Ban | Barred from future events by same organizer |
| Platform Ban | Barred from all Utsav Pass™ events |
| Legal Action | Referral to law enforcement |
5.2 No Refunds #
Individuals removed for Code violations are not entitled to refunds.
5.3 Civil and Criminal Liability #
Violators may be subject to:

Civil lawsuits (damages)

Criminal prosecution

Restraining orders
6. SPECIFIC PROVISIONS FOR ORGANIZERS #
6.1 Organizer Conduct #
Organizers themselves must:

Treat attendees, staff, and vendors with respect

Not abuse their position of authority
-
Respond professionally to complaints
-
Maintain appropriate boundaries
6.2 Organizer Failure to Enforce #
If an organizer fails to enforce this Code:

Utsav Pass™ may take action
-
Organizer may be required to implement improvements
-
Future events may be restricted
-
Platform ban possible for repeated failures
7. ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICIES #
The following behaviors result in immediate removal and permanent ban:

Physical assault or violence
-
Sexual assault
-
Hate crimes
-
Bringing weapons to events
-
Intentional property damage
-
Selling illegal substances

INDIA ADDENDUM #
IPC Provisions: Various Indian Penal Code sections apply to prohibited conduct (assault, harassment, etc.).
POSH Act: Sexual harassment at workplace provisions may apply to event staff.
IT Act: Online harassment covered by Information Technology Act.
Caste Discrimination: Prohibited under various laws; special sensitivity required.
