The Simple Truth #

Part B: Legal Terms and Conditions #
1. ENGAGEMENT #
1.1 MyMahotsav engages Jury Member to serve as a judge for the Contest described in Schedule A.
1.2 Jury Member accepts the engagement and agrees to perform judging services in accordance with this Agreement and the Jury Member Code of Conduct (CT-16).
1.3 Jury Member is an independent contractor, not an employee, partner, or agent of MyMahotsav.
2. JUDGING SERVICES #
2.1 Jury Member agrees to:

Review all assigned entries

Evaluate entries according to published criteria

Provide scores and feedback within deadlines

Participate in deliberations if required

Maintain confidentiality throughout
2.2 Time Commitment: Estimated time commitment is [X] hours over [Y] weeks.
3. COMPENSATION #
3.1 Honorarium: Jury Member will receive [amount] as honorarium for services.
3.2 Expenses: [Reimbursable expenses / No expenses reimbursed].
3.3 Taxes: Jury Member is responsible for all taxes on compensation received.
4. CONFIDENTIALITY #
4.1 Jury Member agrees to keep all Contest information confidential as described in the Code of Conduct.
4.2 This obligation survives termination of this Agreement.
5. CONFLICT OF INTEREST #
5.1 Jury Member agrees to comply with the conflict of interest provisions in the Code of Conduct.
5.2 Jury Member shall disclose any potential conflicts immediately upon discovery.
6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY #
6.1 Jury Member acknowledges that entries are the property of entrants and may not be used for any purpose outside judging.
6.2 Any feedback or comments provided by Jury Member may be used by MyMahotsav for Contest purposes.
7. TERMINATION #
7.1 Either party may terminate this Agreement with [seven (7)] days’ written notice.
7.2 MyMahotsav may terminate immediately for breach of confidentiality or ethics obligations.
7.3 Upon termination, Jury Member shall return or destroy any Contest materials.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY #
8.1 Neither party shall be liable for indirect or consequential damages.
8.2 MyMahotsav’s total liability shall not exceed the compensation paid to Jury Member.
