Part A: Plain English Summary #

How You Earn Money as an Affiliate #

This policy explains exactly how commissions are calculated, when they’re paid, and what affects your earnings. Transparency is key to a successful partnership.

The Simple Truth #

  • Commissions Vary by Service: Different MyMahotsav services have different commission rates. You’ll see specific rates in your dashboard.

  • Cookie Duration Matters: When someone clicks your link, a cookie tracks them. If they purchase within the cookie period, you earn the commission.

  • Multi-Tier Opportunities: You can earn not only from your direct referrals but also from affiliates you recruit (if you qualify for multi-tier status).

  • Payment Thresholds: You must reach a minimum earnings threshold before we process payment. This helps keep transaction costs reasonable.

  • Commissions Can Be Clawed Back: If a customer returns a product or cancels a service, the associated commission may be deducted from future earnings.

Part B: Commission Structure #

1. COMMISSION RATES BY SERVICE #

1.1 Commission rates vary by MyMahotsav service and are subject to change with notice. Current rates are displayed in the Affiliate Dashboard.

1.2 Commission rates for specific products or promotions may differ and will be clearly communicated.

2. COMMISSION MODELS #

2.1 Revenue Share: Affiliates earn a percentage of net revenue generated from referred customers. Net revenue is calculated as gross sales minus:

  • Returns and refunds

  • Chargebacks

  • Taxes collected

  • Payment processing fees

  • Any discounts or coupons applied

2.2 Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) : For specific programs, affiliates may earn fixed amounts per Qualified Action (e.g., ₹500 per new business Listing).

2.3 Hybrid Models: Some promotions may combine revenue share and CPA elements.

3. MULTI-TIER COMMISSION STRUCTURE #

3.1 Qualified Affiliates may participate in the multi-tier program, earning commissions on referrals from sub-affiliates they recruit.

Tier Direct Commission Sub-Affiliate Commission
Standard 100% of base rate Not applicable
Silver 100% of base rate + 5% bonus 5% of sub-affiliate commissions
Gold 100% of base rate + 10% bonus 10% of sub-affiliate commissions
Platinum 100% of base rate + 15% bonus 15% of sub-affiliate commissions

3.2 Tier advancement is based on performance metrics (sales volume, quality score, compliance history) as detailed in the Affiliate Dashboard.

3.3 Important: Multi-tier commissions are NOT based on recruitment fees. Affiliates earn only when their sub-affiliates actually generate sales, preventing pyramid scheme characteristics.

4.1 Cookie Duration: Unless otherwise specified, our tracking cookies last for thirty (30) days from the customer’s first click on an Affiliate Link. If the customer completes a Qualified Action within this period, the commission is attributed to the referring affiliate.

4.2 Last-Click Attribution: If a customer clicks multiple affiliate links from different affiliates, the last click before the Qualified Action generally receives attribution.

4.3 Exceptions: Certain services may have different cookie durations (e.g., shorter for low-consideration purchases, longer for high-consideration services).

4.4 Offline Conversions: For transactions that cannot be tracked online (e.g., phone bookings), affiliates may be eligible for commission if they follow specified procedures for manual tracking.

5. QUALIFIED ACTIONS #

5.1 A “Qualified Action” means a customer action that meets all of the following criteria:

  • The customer clicked a valid Affiliate Link and was tracked by our system

  • The customer completed the specified action (purchase, registration, etc.)

  • The action occurred within the cookie duration period

  • The transaction is not later reversed (refunded, cancelled, charged back)

  • The customer was not already in our system from another source

  • The transaction is not fraudulent or invalid

5.2 Excluded Transactions: The following do not qualify for commissions:

  • Purchases made by the Affiliate personally (self-referrals)

  • Purchases made by the Affiliate’s immediate family members

  • Purchases made by the Affiliate’s employees

  • Purchases where the Affiliate had direct involvement in the sale beyond promotion

  • Transactions later determined to be fraudulent

6. PAYMENT TERMS #

6.1 Payment Threshold: Commissions are paid when accrued earnings reach the minimum threshold:

Currency Minimum Payout Threshold
INR ₹1,000
GBP £50
USD $50
EUR €50

6.2 Carryover: If earnings are below the threshold, they carry over to subsequent months until the threshold is reached.

6.3 Payment Schedule: Payments are processed monthly, typically within fifteen (15) business days after the end of each calendar month.

6.4 Payment Methods: Available payment methods include:

  • Bank transfer (domestic and international)

  • PayPal

  • UPI (India)

  • Wire transfer (for international affiliates)

6.5 Currency: Payments are made in the affiliate’s chosen currency where supported. Currency conversion fees may apply.

6.6 Payment Hold: In the event of suspected fraud, payment may be delayed for up to one hundred eighty (180) days while investigating and verifying relevant transactions.

7. COMMISSION CLAWBACKS #

7.1 Refunds: If a customer requests and receives a refund, the associated commission will be deducted from the Affiliate’s future earnings.

7.2 Chargebacks: If a customer initiates a chargeback that is successful, the commission will be deducted.

7.3 Returns: For physical products, if a customer returns the item within the return period, commission will be clawed back.

7.4 Negative Balance: If clawbacks exceed current earnings, the Affiliate’s account may show a negative balance, which will be recovered from future earnings. Affiliates are responsible for repaying negative balances if they terminate their account.

8. PERFORMANCE TIERS AND BONUSES #

8.1 Performance Tiers: Affiliates may qualify for higher commission rates based on:

  • Monthly sales volume

  • Conversion rate

  • Customer retention metrics

  • Compliance history

8.2 Bonus Programs: From time to time, MyMahotsav may offer bonus incentives for:

  • Top-performing affiliates

  • Specific promotional campaigns

  • Holiday/seasonal programs

  • Referral of new high-quality affiliates

8.3 Loyalty Rewards: Points earned through the loyalty program may be redeemable for bonus commissions, gift cards, or other rewards as described in the Affiliate Dashboard.

9. REPORTING #

9.1 Affiliates have access to real-time reports in their dashboard showing:

  • Clicks and impressions

  • Conversions and sales

  • Commission earned

  • Payment history

  • Performance metrics

9.2 While we strive for accuracy, Affiliates should regularly review their reports and report discrepancies within thirty (30) days.
