What Kind of Content Belongs on Utsav Voices™ #

Utsav Voices™ is a platform for thoughtful, well-crafted writing that deepens understanding of culture, faith, and ideas. These guidelines help maintain that standard.

The Simple Truth #

  • We Value Quality: Well-researched, insightful, and well-written articles thrive here.

  • No Hate or Harassment: Content that attacks individuals or groups has no place.

  • Explicit Content Restrictions: Certain types of content (gratuitous violence, explicit sexuality) may not be suitable for general distribution .

  • AI Content Must Be Disclosed: If you use AI tools significantly, you must disclose it .

  • We Moderate, But We’re Not Perfect: Our moderation is a cursory check, not a guarantee of accuracy or quality.

Part B: Content Guidelines #

1. QUALITY STANDARDS #

1.1 What We Look For: Articles that demonstrate :

  • Original insights based on the writer’s experience or expertise

  • Thoughtful analysis and well-reasoned arguments

  • Value to readers—articles worth their time and attention

  • Respectful engagement with cultural and religious topics

1.2 Research and Accuracy: While we don’t fact-check every article, we expect contributors to make good-faith efforts to ensure accuracy. Misinformation presented as fact may be rejected.

1.3 Tone and Approach: We welcome spirited debate and diverse perspectives, but discourse should remain civil and respectful.

2. PROHIBITED CONTENT #

2.1 The following content is strictly prohibited:

3.2 Disclosure Requirement: If your article is significantly AI-generated, you must disclose this prominently within the first two paragraphs.

3.3 Permitted AI Assistance: The following uses of AI do NOT require disclosure:

  • AI-assisted fact-checking

6.2 Plagiarism: Presenting others’ work as your own is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate rejection and potential account termination.

7. MODERATION PROCESS #

  • Obvious policy violations

  • Spam indicators

  • Prohibited content

7.2 Limitations of Moderation: This review is not:

  • An endorsement of viewpoints

7.3 Moderator Discretion: Moderators have discretion to approve, reject, or request modifications to submissions.

7.4 Appeals: If your submission is rejected, you may request review by emailing appeals@utsavvoices.com.

8. REPORTING VIOLATIONS #
