Our jury members are respected experts in their fields. This Code of Conduct ensures that judging is fair, impartial, and transparent.
The Simple Truth #

Be Impartial: Judge each entry based on its merits, not personal relationships.

Disclose Conflicts: If you know an entrant, tell us—don’t judge their work.

Keep Confidential: Don’t share entries or discuss judging decisions outside the jury.

Follow Criteria: Judge according to published criteria, not personal preferences.

No Favoritism: Treat all entrants equally.
Part B: Legal Terms and Conditions #
1. APPLICABILITY #
1.1 This Code of Conduct applies to all individuals serving as judges, jurors, or evaluators in any Utsav Contests™ (“Jury Members”).
1.2 By agreeing to serve as a Jury Member, you acknowledge and agree to abide by this Code.
2. IMPARTIALITY AND FAIRNESS #
2.1 Jury Members shall evaluate each entry based solely on the published judging criteria .
2.2 Jury Members shall not favor or disfavor any entry based on:

Personal relationships

Professional connections
-
Geographic origin
-
Religious or cultural background
-
Any factor not specified in the judging criteria
3. CONFLICT OF INTEREST #
3.1 Disclosure Obligation: Jury Members must disclose any relationship with an entrant that could reasonably be seen as creating a conflict of interest, including:

Family relationships
-
Close personal friendships
-
Business partnerships or employment
-
Professional collaborations
-
Competitor relationships
3.2 Recusal: If a conflict exists, the Jury Member must recuse themselves from evaluating that specific entry.
3.3 Remedies: Failure to disclose a known conflict may result in removal from the jury and disqualification of affected entries.
4. CONFIDENTIALITY #
4.1 Jury Members shall keep all information about entries and judging confidential, including:

Entry content

Scores and evaluations

Deliberations and discussions

Winner selections before public announcement
4.2 Jury Members shall not:

Share entries with third parties

Use entry content for personal purposes

Discuss judging with non-jury members

Post about entries on social media
4.3 Confidentiality obligations continue indefinitely.
5. INTEGRITY OF PROCESS #
5.1 Jury Members shall:

Evaluate entries independently

Apply criteria consistently

Complete evaluations within deadlines

Not solicit or accept bribes, gifts, or favors related to judging

Not use their position for personal gain
6. COMMUNICATION #
6.1 Jury Members shall communicate professionally with Contest administrators and other judges.
6.2 All official communications about the Contest should go through designated channels.
6.3 Jury Members shall not communicate directly with entrants about the Contest.
7. CONSEQUENCES OF VIOLATIONS #
7.1 Violations of this Code may result in:

Removal from the jury

Disqualification of affected entries

Ineligibility for future judging opportunities

Legal action if warranted
8. ACKNOWLEDGMENT #
8.1 By serving as a Jury Member, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with this Code of Conduct.
