How Payments and Refunds Work #
This policy explains the financial aspects of enrolling in courses on GyanVapy Courses™—what you pay, when you’re charged, and when you can get your money back.
The Simple Truth #

Clear Pricing: Course prices are displayed before enrollment. What you see is what you pay (plus applicable taxes).

14-Day Refund Window: For most paid courses, you can request a refund within 14 days of enrollment.

No Refunds for Completed Courses: If you’ve completed most of the course, refunds are generally not available.

Refund Abuse: Repeatedly enrolling in and refunding courses may result in loss of refund privileges.

Free Courses: Free courses are, well, free—no refunds needed!
Part B: Payment Terms #
1. Pricing and Currency #
1.1 Course Prices: Prices are set by:

Instructors (for marketplace courses)

GyanVapy Courses™ (for original content)
1.2 Currency: Prices are displayed in multiple currencies based on your location. The currency displayed at checkout is the currency you will be charged.
1.3 Price Changes: Prices may change over time. Your price is locked in at the time of enrollment—future price changes do not affect existing enrollments.
2. Taxes #
2.1 Applicable Taxes: Depending on your location, applicable taxes (GST, VAT, sales tax) may be added to course prices.
2.2 Tax Display: We attempt to display estimated taxes at checkout. Final taxes will be calculated and applied at payment.
2.3 Tax Invoices: For customers requiring tax invoices, these are available in your account dashboard after purchase.
3. Payment Methods #
3.1 Accepted Methods: We accept various payment methods including:

Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, RuPay)

UPI (India)

Net banking (select countries)

Digital wallets

Bank transfers (for enterprise customers)
3.2 Payment Processing: Payments are processed by our third-party payment processors. We do not store full payment details on our systems.
3.3 Authorization: By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees.
4. Subscription Courses #
4.1 Recurring Payments: Some courses may be offered on a subscription basis (monthly or annual). For such courses:

You will be billed automatically at the start of each billing period

Subscriptions continue until cancelled

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
4.2 Subscription Changes: We will notify you of any price changes for subscriptions at least 14 days in advance.
Part C: Refund Policy #
5. Standard 14-Day Refund Window #
5.1 Eligibility: For most paid courses, you may request a refund within 14 days of enrollment.
5.2 Refund Amount: Refunds are for the full course price paid, including taxes.
5.3 How to Request: Submit refund requests through your account dashboard or by contacting support@gyanvapy.com.
5.4 Processing Time: Refunds typically process within 5-10 business days and will be credited to your original payment method.
6. Exceptions to the Refund Policy #
6.1 No Refunds After 14 Days: Refund requests received after 14 days will generally be denied.
6.2 Completed Courses: If you have completed a substantial portion of the course (typically more than 50%), refunds may be denied even within the 14-day window.
6.3 Certificate Already Issued: If you have already received a certificate of completion, refunds are not available.
6.4 Free Courses: No refunds for free courses (obviously).
6.5 Bundled Courses: For course bundles, refunds may be available for the entire bundle but not for individual courses within the bundle.
7. Refund Abuse #
7.1 What Constitutes Abuse:

Repeatedly enrolling in and refunding courses

Enrolling with the intent to download content and then refund

Using multiple accounts to circumvent refund limits

Fraudulent refund claims
7.2 Consequences of Abuse:

Loss of refund privileges

Account suspension

Forfeiture of any pending refunds

Permanent ban in severe cases
8. Course Cancellation by Instructor or Platform #
8.1 Instructor Removal: If an instructor removes a course from the platform, existing students will retain access for the “lifetime” period. No refunds will be issued unless the course was misrepresented.
8.2 Platform Removal: If we remove a course for policy violations or legal reasons:

Access will be terminated

Refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis

Students will be notified of the removal and any refund decisions
9. Chargebacks #
9.1 Definition: A chargeback occurs when you dispute a charge with your bank or credit card issuer.
9.2 Consequences: If you file a chargeback:

Your access to the course may be suspended during the dispute

If the chargeback is upheld, you will lose access permanently

If the chargeback is reversed, access may be restored
9.3 Dispute Resolution: Before filing a chargeback, please contact us to resolve any issues—many disputes can be resolved directly.
