Key Ingredients

 2 cups Water
 2 cups Milk
 2 tbsp loose black tea leaves
 3 tbsp Sugar
 5 whole green cardamom pods, lightly crushed
 1 stick fresh ginger, grated
 3 whole cloves
 1 cinnamon stick
 pinch of ground black pepper (optional)

In a saucepan, add water and bring it to a boil.

Add the crushed cardamom pods, grated ginger, cloves, cinnamon stick, and black pepper (if using) to the boiling water. Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes to infuse the flavors.

Add the tea leaves or tea bags to the saucepan. Let it simmer for another 2 minutes.

Pour in the milk and stir well. Simmer for 4-5 minutes, allowing the tea to develop a rich color.

Add sugar according to your taste and stir until it dissolves completely.

Strain the tea into cups or a teapot using a fine mesh strainer.

Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Indian Masala Chai!
